Hague Convention Nations

A number of countries around the globe have joined a treaty called the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, also commonly referred to as the Apostille Convention or the Hague Convention. When applicable, the treaty greatly simplifies the authentication of public documents for use abroad, which can otherwise be a time consuming and costly process. It’s important to note, apostilles can only be issued for public documents issued in one contracting party country for use in another contracting party country.
