California Secretary of State: Closures & Service Changes to Rush Filings and More

The California Secretary of State announced that effective Monday, December 7th (through at least the end of 2020) it will suspend lobby pick up and expedited/pre-clearance services in the Sacramento, CA office. The changes are the result of the widespread transmission of COVID-19. Any expedites received on/before Friday, December 4, 2020 will be processed on a rush basis and returned to Parasec via mail upon completion. Drop-off service will remain available via the lobby. That said, all documents are to be returned to Parasec via mail. The state will waive special handling fees during this time. Additionally, the state will also suspend the 72-hour rule for rejected filings.

Furthermore, the Los Angles office of the California Secretary of State will close completely until further notice. Documents should be submitted to the Sacramento office for processing. Parasec’s staff remains in close contact with the CA SOS staff and will report updates as we are made aware of them. Please follow our LinkedIn page for the most current updates.
