Texas Expedited Business Filings and Tax Relief for Veteran-Owned Businesses

Effective September 1, 2025, Texas House Bill 346 introduces several new initiatives to streamline business filings and support veteran entrepreneurs. Key provisions include:

Texas Expedited Business Filings

The Texas Secretary of State will soon offer expedited processing for select business filings and record searches, including Certificates of Conversion, Merger, Amendment, Restated Formation, and Validation. Starting October 1, 2025, businesses can choose from three service tiers:

  • Standard Expedited processing prioritizes submissions over non-expedited filings for a fee of $50 per document, in addition to the standard filing fee.
  • Next-Day service ensures a decision by close of business the following day, provided the document is received by noon the prior day, for $500 per document.
  • Same-Day service guarantees a decision by close of business if the document is received by noon, with a fee of $750 per document.

Same-Day and Next-Day filings must be submitted in person at the Secretary of State’s office in Austin. Expedited service does not guarantee approval, as each filing is subject to statutory review.
